3 days into tour and I guess I will write a little bit about it.
To start off I think the best part of tour is being able to write. It is great to think about new songs in both the musical aspects and lyrically. Inspiration to me comes mainly from music I like and the beauty of God's earth. Great thing is that on tour you get both of these every day!
Our first show was in Douglas, Wy and it went great. Dan is our contact there and he always is such an amazing friend to me. Our chats always leave me encouraged for the future. Even when Another Dream played there the kids were always supportive and this show did not disappoint.
Our second show landed us in Sheridan, Wy. I met a cool guy named Josh Law who does many different things in his life and seems to have the drive that I do for different areas of his passions. It was great to share how my life was flipped upside down to lead me to being able to tour and play music.
Today we had a day off and drove 9 hours to Jamestown, Nd to stay with my Aunt. We almost ran out of gas as there was a LONG stretch of about 75 miles where there were no gas stations! Rolling into one finally with our DTE(distance til empty) read 0 for over a mile. Ate at Good times/Taco Johns and made it safe to J-town.
Tomorrow will be a nice restful day before our show here at Temple Baptist. We are writing new songs and working hard on creating the sound we want to be. It will be rad to let you all hear these tunes in the future.
